Healthy Habit No. 3: Drink More Water and Less Caffeine

Water is the major component of your blood. About 70% of your total weight is water. Your brain is 85% water. As little as 2% dehydration can trigger problems. Dehydration causes stress on your body. The body needs water to keep properly hydrated and individuals vary widely in how much water they need. Joints need it so stay in motion, and vital organs such as the heart, brain, kidney, and liver need it to work properly. If you don’t get enough water, the body goes into emergency mode, and clings to every single water molecule it can find.

Studies have also shown wonder of water to help prevent high blood pressure, kidney stones, heart disease, and colon cancer. Water regulates functions and efficiency of your cells. Helps Transports nutrients and gets rid of waste products. Provides hydroelectric energy and energize your brain. Water is important in digestion, saliva and digestive juices. It aids kidneys in getting rid of waste products. Regulates body temperature and helps you reach and maintain your healthy weight. Drink at least 8 cups or 40 – 64 ounces of water per day and stay away from Caffeine.
